Anne Cardwell, Interim Human Resources Director
Anne began her employment with the City of Vallejo on December 17, 2018. She is currently responsible for oversight of Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance and Housing & Community Development.
She brings more than 15 years of experience in local government in the north bay area, having previously worked for the Martinez and Benicia communities. Most recently, Anne was the Assistant City Manager in the City of Martinez, where she had responsibility for Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology and the administrative functions of the City Manager/City Clerk's Office, as well as managing labor relations, public relations and several key organizational initiatives. Prior to that, she worked for the City of Benicia for 13 years in the City Manager's Office and Human Resources, with the final three years of her tenure there serving as the Assistant City Manager.
Anne possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from U.C. Berkeley and a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from UCLA. She lives in Benicia with her husband and three sons.
