The City of Vallejo is a participating jurisdiction of the Federal HOME Investment Partnerships Program. HOME provides an annual grant that communities like Vallejo use to fund a wide range of activities that build, buy, and/or rehabilitate affordable housing for rent or homeownership, or provide direct rental assistance to low-income individuals or families. Some of these services have been provided through the Down Payment/Closing Cost Assistance Programs, the Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Loan Program, and assistance with security deposits.
Vallejo's other recent HOME projects include the rehabilitation of Temple Art Lofts and the acquisition and rehabilitation of foreclosed properties within Vallejo's city limits.
