Important Update on VHA Operations During Federal Government Shutdown
We want to inform you that during the current federal government shutdown, the Housing Authority of the City of Vallejo will remain fully operational. Our staff remains dedicated to providing uninterrupted service to residents, property owners, and the broader community.
Rental assistance payments for October 2025 will be processed as scheduled. While the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has indicated that rental assistance funding will continue during the shutdown, there is no guarantee that payments will be sustained beyond October should the shutdown continue for an extended period.
To help ensure continued support for residents and property owners, we strongly encourage you to reach out to your congressional representatives and advocate for the passage of a long-term continuing resolution or a full-year federal budget. Your voice is vital in helping to safeguard critical housing programs and prevent service disruptions within our community.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
