The Housing & Community Development Division operates the Housing Choice Voucher program, which provides rental subsidy to low income families and individuals. We also offer a Project Based Voucher program, Family Self Sufficiency program, Section 8 Homeownership Program and VASH program which are available to participants in the Housing Choice Voucher program.
The VHA provides thousands of dollars to non-profit agencies in Vallejo, through our CDBG program, and finance First Time Home Buyer and Rehabilitation Loan programs through HOME.

Homebuyer & Homeowner Programs -
The Housing and Community Development Division (HCDD) is currently reviewing its implementation processes for the Mortgage Assistance, (commonly referred to as "Down Payment Assistance"), and the Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Programs, including the Paint Program. Upon completion of this program review in Fall 2019, HCDD will post updated program information to the City's website in Fall 2019. Those who have already submitted application forms will be notified about any required adjustments to their applications. Interested applicants will be able to start applying to these programs in December 2019.
