Animal Control

Animal control services are provided by the Solano County Sheriff's Animal Control Unit in collaboration with the Humane Society of the North Bay.

Both entities operate at the City-owned site leased by Humane Society of the North Bay at:
1121 Sonoma Boulevard, Vallejo
Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Routine and non-emergency communications can be e-mailed directly to Animal Control Officers at [email protected].

Animal Control Dispatch is provided 24 hours per Day/Seven Days per Week

Residents are instructed to call Animal Control Dispatch on weekdays at (707) 784-4733, selecting option 2, and on weekends at (707) 421-7090 for the following situations:
  • Unaccompanied animals running loose
  • Unaccompanied sick and/or injured animals
  • Dog Bites
  • Aggressive animals
  • Dogs on the highway
  • Concerns about the welfare of an animal
  • Nuisance animals (barking dogs require a two-week journal recording the days and times the dog was barking and a description of the dog)
