  • December 27, 2023 NOTICE OF UNCLAIMED FUNDS: Pursuant to California Government Code §50051, the Finance Director of the City of Vallejo announces the identification of unclaimed monetary sums, held for over three (3) years, which will become the property of the City of Vallejo on February 2, 2024. Interested parties are invited to file a claim before said date, providing their name, address, claim amount, grounds, check details, and the sum specified in this notice. The Finance Director holds the discretion to accept or reject any claim, with a 15-day window for rejected claims to file a verified complaint seeking fund recovery. This notice serves to inform and encourage timely action to address unclaimed funds, ensuring a fair and transparent process in accordance with the specified legal provisions.   • December 23, 2023  The Vallejo Housing Authority has made revisions to its Housing Choice Voucher Program Administrative Plan. A summary of proposed changes and the full proposed 2024 HCV Program Administrative Plan is available for review and public comment here, and at the Housing Authority office located at 200 Georgia Street, Vallejo, CA 94590 during the hours of 9:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. through 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The public comment period begins December 23, 2023, and goes on through January 4, 2024.  A public hearing will be held on January 23, 2024, at 6:45 p.m. at the Vallejo City Council Chambers located at 555 Santa Clara St., Vallejo CA

  • September 15, 2023 - NOTICE OF FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT AND NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS

  • The notice shall satisfy two separate but related procedural requirements for an activity to be undertaken by the City of Vallejo. Any individual, group, or agency disagreeing with this determination or wishing to comment on the project may submit written comments by email to Natalie Peterson, Assistant to the City Manager, at [email protected]. All written comments received not later than 4:00 p. m. PST on September 29, 2023 will be considered by the City of Vallejo prior to authorizing submission of a request for release of funds. Comments should specify which Notice they are addressing.

  • May 1, 2021 - NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN TO INCLUDE CDBG-CV3 FUNDS On Thursday, May 6, 2021 after 7:00 p.m., the Housing and Community Development Commission will hold a virtual public hearing at its regular meeting on the second proposed Substantial Amendment to the City's FY 2019-2020 (July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020) Annual Action Plan. The City of Vallejo has been notified by HUD that it will receive an additional allocation of $856,930, known as CDBG-CV3 funds, to prevent, prepare for and respond to coronavirus. In order to accept CDBG-CV funding formally, the City must again make amendments to the FY 2019-2020 Annual Action Plan describing the proposed use of funding and the process for obtaining public input.   • February 1, 2021 - NEIGHBORHOODLIFT PROGRAM
    The City of Vallejo participates in the NeighborhoodLIFT Program, a program sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank and administered by Community Housing Development Corporation. NeighborhoodLIFT is a 5-year forgivable loan (a grant) of $25,000. Wells Fargo has made available 360 grants to eligible applicants who live within the City of Vallejo. The program requires applicants to have a Homebuyer Education Certificate (online 8-hour course can be found at https://www.ehomeamerica.org/chdc for $99) and a preapproval to register.   • September 1, 2020 - VALLEJO HOUSING STRATEGY FRAMEWORK AND ACTON PLAN
    On Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., the Vallejo City Council will hold a special meeting on the proposed Housing Strategy Framework and Action Plan for implementation over the next five years. During the FY 2019-2020 budget goal-setting sessions, the City Council directed the housing staff to establish a housing strategy by means of conducting a market study, study session, key stakeholder meetings, and community meetings.     On Thursday, December 5, 2019, after 7:00 p.m., the Housing and Community Development Commission will hold two public hearings: 1) on the proposed amendments to the City's current Consolidated Plan that includes the period beginning July 1, 2015, and ending June 30, 2020, and 2) to gather information and receive comments on housing and community development needs in Vallejo in preparation for the draft of the next Consolidated Plan for the period beginning July 1, 2020, and ending June 30, 2025.   • September 19, 2019 - VALLEJO HOMELESS NAVIGATION SHELTER
    In May, Vallejo City Council approved the use of Fiscal Year (FY) 2019-20 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funding in the amount of $658,842 for the acquisition and construction of a public facility for a navigation center to address the needs of the homeless population. Last month, City staff identified a potential location for the proposed center.
